The locations of post offices in England, Scotland and Wales. The data was obtained from the post office web site in October 2007.

Detailed Information

This data shows the location of postoffices in the UK based on their postcodes. The location marked is not the actual position, but the centroid of the postcode taken from the postoffice's address. For this reason, the marker will be in the correct street, but not necessarily the correct position in the street relating to the actual physical location of the postoffice.

In building this dataset, we believe that about 1400 of the total 14,500 are missing, due to missing data in our postcode data set which dates from May 2007. In particular, some areas around Cambridge have had their postcodes changed recently, resulting in some missing data around that location.
