Mapping the nation's mood on the credit crunch in the eastern counties in conjunction with BBC Look East.

Detailed Information

Starting on 18th September 2008, BBC Look East will be mapping the mood of the nation by asking how the credit crunch is affecting people. In conjunction with the Centre for Advanced Spatial Analysis (CASA) at University College London, BBC Look East have devised an online survey for people to enter how the credit crunch is affecting them.

The questions we are asking is ar follows:

I am experiencing difficulties paying the mortgage or rent (Yes/No)

I am trying to cut down on fuel bills at home(Yes/No)

I am trying to cut down on fuel costs for the car (Yes/No)

I am cutting back on my grocery bills (Yes/No)

I am cutting down on leisure/holiday spending (Yes/No)

I currently have a job and feel secure in my position (Yes/No)

The participant's age group and postcode district is also entered and the results are shown on the map, which is updated every hour. The colour of the region indicates the most common response for each postcode district.
